Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Management Reporting
Consolidate and prepare group management reports with business insights and analysis for monthly, quarterly and budget reporting to the senior management and MWG Board.
Perform detailed financial analysis and variance reporting eg. against budget, forecast and prior-year results.
Coordinate reporting submissions from business units and subsidiaries.
Support the preparation of Board, Finance Committee and management reporting materials.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reports and reporting deliverables.
Group Consolidation and Statutory Reporting
Manage the end-to-end consolidation of Group financial results.
Prepare consolidation journals, intercompany eliminations and supporting schedules.
Prepare annual statutory financial statements and related disclosures. Coordinate external audit requirements and deliverables and ensure compliance with SFRS(I), the Companies Act and Group reporting requirements.
Consolidate and prepare statutory reports for MWG Board approval.
Technical Accounting and Financial Policies
Support the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements.
Prepare technical accounting assessments, accounting papers and disclosure reviews.
Assist in maintaining and updating Group accounting policies and reporting procedures in line with changes in business requirements and relevant financial reporting standards.
Provide accounting guidance to finance stakeholders on reporting matters.
Process Improvement and Transformation
Drive continuous improvements to reporting processes and controls.
Support finance transformation and automation initiatives.
Improve reporting efficiency through system enhancements and digital solutions.
Participate in Group finance projects and strategic initiatives.
Review and maintain existing financial models based on updated and projected information to aid decision making/planning at the senior management level.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all financial data and information.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent professional qualification is required with minimum 5 years of experience.
Meticulous with a strong analytical mind and ability to work under pressure to meet tight schedules
Excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of various stakeholders
Self-motivated with a “sense-of-urgency” and "hands-on" approach
Able to adapt to changing needs and processes to learn and grow alongside the business.
