Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for planning, development, coordination and execution of a diverse portfolio of events in Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s (MWR) public nodes that drive footfall, enhance guest experience, extend dwell time, strengthen and build the Mandai Wildlife Reserve brand awareness and meet commercial targets. The role involves planning & coordinating for the full event lifecycle, end to end, from concept development and budgeting to onsite operations/management and post-event evaluation, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will also need to conduct competitive analysis on the event landscapes in Singapore / overseas. The candidate should have relevant partnership skills to source, socialise and negotiate with partners / external stakeholders, collaborating and bring in suitable activities into MWR.
Conceptualise, develop and execute the assigned event that aligned with the company’s brand values, marketing objectives and targets.
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of events
Develop project plans, timelines, budgets and all necessary plans for the event.
To work closely with various internal (management, operations and stakeholders from various business units) and external stakeholders (e.g. partners, vendors) during the planning and execution of the event.
Ensure events are delivered on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
Oversee and manage event setup, rehearsals (if any), live operations, maintenance and post-event teardown.
Monitor budget / expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
To source, socialise and negotiate with partners / external stakeholders, collaborating and bring in suitable activities into MWR.
To liaise with external parties such as partners, event agencies, contractors, performers, suppliers, and service providers.
Coordinate quotations, purchase requests, contracts, and vendor deliverables.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Conduct site inspections and operational walkthroughs.
Maintain event records, asset inventories, and project documentation.
Track the footfall and any related KPI.
Contribute towards the team's placemaking goal of destination brand building, increase dwell time and engagement and overall placemaking footfall.
Ensure compliance with all processes and workplace safety regulations, licensing requirements and policies.
Conduct and coordinate manpower briefing and deployment for events (if any)
Produce post-campaign report with recommendations and continuous improvement.
Monitor industry trends and benchmark against leading attractions.
Job Requirements:
Diploma / Degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Marketing, Business, or related discipline.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in events management.
Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
Experience working with external vendors and cross-functional teams
Strong project coordination and management skills
Creative thinking and event conceptualisation.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and some physical activities including site setup and inspection
