Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment & Management
· Recruit and onboard volunteers for various programmes and events
· Build and maintain positive relationships with volunteers
· Monitor volunteer participation and performance, providing support where needed
Volunteer Training & Development
· Plan and conduct virtual and on-site training sessions
· Facilitate learning experiences that equip volunteers with the skills and knowledge needed for their roles
Volunteer Engagement
· Conceptualise, plan, and execute volunteer engagement activities (e.g., appreciation events, bonding sessions)
· Gather feedback and continuously improve the volunteer experience
Programme Review & Enhancement
· Review the effectiveness of existing volunteer programmes
· Propose and implement improvements to better align with organisational goals
Administrative Duties
· Manage volunteer-related enquiries and correspondence
· Oversee scheduling and upkeep of volunteer stations and resources
· Maintain an updated volunteer record and ensure data confidentiality
Other Duties
· Support other initiatives and events spearheaded by Education Department, as assigned o Contribute to cross-functional/departmental tasks and projects that involve volunteer participation
Job Requirements:
· Diploma/Degree in Life Sciences, Social Studies or at least 5 years of relevant experience in volunteer administration and engagement.
· Prior experience in engaging youths or volunteer groups will be an advantage.
· Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect.
· Good team player with a positive attitude, customer-oriented, energetic and warm.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Has a deep interest in nature, wildlife and community engagement.
· Enjoys working outdoors.
· Able to work on weekends and public holidays where required.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
