Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.
The International MICE Manager is responsible for driving the growth of Mandai Wildlife Reserve as a premier Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) destination across international markets. The role focuses on developing and executing market strategies, generating qualified business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, managing key international accounts, and positioning Mandai Wildlife Reserve as a compelling business events destination.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, tourism partners and international trade networks, the successful candidate will lead commercial initiatives that increase international MICE revenue, visitor arrivals and global market awareness while contributing to the long-term growth of the organisation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
International Business Development & Sales
Develop and execute market-specific go-to-market strategies to grow international MICE business across assigned regions.
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline comprising corporate clients, event organisers, destination management companies (DMCs), professional conference organisers (PCOs), travel intermediaries and strategic partners.
Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities to achieve annual revenue and visitation targets.
Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, contracting and post-event relationship management.
Prepare compelling commercial proposals, presentations and business cases tailored to client objectives.
Strategic Partnerships
Establish and strengthen relationships with international tourism boards, airlines, convention bureaux, travel trade partners, hospitality partners and industry associations.
Initiate and negotiate strategic marketing collaborations, partnership programmes and co-promotional initiatives that drive qualified business opportunities.
Represent Mandai Wildlife Reserve in industry associations, networking events and strategic partnership initiatives.
Market Development & Destination Promotion
Position Mandai Wildlife Reserve as a leading sustainable business events destination through targeted destination marketing initiatives.
Represent the organisation at international trade shows, roadshows, sales missions, familiarisation trips and industry events.
Deliver engaging destination presentations and product showcases to international buyers, trade partners and corporate decision makers.
Build top-of-mind awareness of Mandai Wildlife Reserve's MICE offerings within assigned international markets.
Account Management
Develop long-term relationships with strategic accounts to maximise customer satisfaction, repeat business and commercial sustainability.
Conduct regular account reviews, identify growth opportunities and implement account development plans.
Coordinate client site inspections, familiarisation visits and business meetings to facilitate successful conversions.
Commercial Strategy & Market Intelligence
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer behaviour and emerging industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
Prepare regular market intelligence, sales performance and business opportunity reports to support strategic decision-making.
Recommend new products, experiences and commercial initiatives based on customer insights and market demand.
Contribute to pricing strategies, sales campaigns and business development plans to maximise commercial performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Wildlife Parks, Hospitality and Product teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative MICE products and experiences that meet evolving market needs.
Support the planning and execution of key international hosting programmes, familiarisation trips and strategic events.
Other Responsibilities
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records and pipeline reporting.
Achieve assigned revenue, visitation and partnership KPIs.
Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in international sales, business development, tourism, hospitality, MICE or destination marketing.
Proven track record in developing international markets and achieving commercial sales targets.
Experience working with international corporate clients, travel trade partners, tourism organisations or event organisers will be an advantage.
