Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Network Specialist with deep expertise in Aruba networking and Network Access Control (NAC). This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-performance wired and wireless infrastructure, focusing on secure device onboarding, identity-driven network access, firewall integrity, and proactive Wi-Fi optimization. This role requires a proactive troubleshooter who can perform under pressure and work with other internal and external stakeholders within a collaborative, on-call environment.
Configure, upgrade, and maintain Aruba switching (AOS-CX/AOS-S) and wireless infrastructure, including firmware lifecycle management and high-availability operations.
Design, implement, and maintain Network Access Control using Aruba ClearPass, including 802.1X authentication, device profiling, certificate-based authentication (EAP-TLS), posture enforcement, and integration with enterprise identity sources.
Manage enterprise wireless environments, including 802.1X authentication, guest portals, RF optimization using AirWave or Central, and client onboarding/authentication troubleshooting across wired and wireless networks.
Work with the security team to implement and troubleshoot firewall policies, NAT, and IPsec/SSL VPN connectivity impacting network access to ensure a hardened network perimeter.
Resolve complex Layer 2/3 issues, including VLAN routing, spanning tree, wireless interference, and application connectivity analysis using packet captures, logs, and network analysis tools.
Perform patching activities that will usually be conducted after office hours.
Provide support for operational incidents and participate in a rotational on-call schedule which will involve after office hours support when necessary.
Job Requirements:
Degree/diploma in IT or Computer Science is preferred. Industry certifications such as Aruba: ACMA (Associate), ACMP (Professional), or ACCP (ClearPass), CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or vendor-specific firewall certifications are highly valued.Proficiency with ArubaOS-Switch, AOS-CX with VSF/stacking, and experience with Aruba controller based Wireless architecture.
Hands-on experience with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager, including RADIUS/TACACS+ protocol management and posture assessment. Understanding of PKI concepts and certificate-based authentication workflows.
Experience with Aruba AirWave, Aruba Central, or similar monitoring tools for heat mapping and client troubleshooting.
Practical experience managing enterprise firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point) integrated with the network fabric. Understanding of stateful firewall behavior and traffic flow analysis.
Strong grasp of Layer 2/3 protocols including VLANs (802.1Q), LACP, VRRP, and working knowledge of dynamic routing (OSPF preferred).
Support audit and compliance requirements by maintaining secure configurations, documentation, and remediation tracking.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, IP address schemes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ability to manage network migrations or hardware refresh cycles with minimal business disruption. Run projects coordinating with stakeholders and managing vendors.
