Senior Manager, Content & Social Strategy (Edutainment)
Role Overview
Ranger Buddies is seeking a creative, strategic, and execution-focused Senior Manager to lead content and social media strategy across the Ranger Buddies portfolio.
This role will be responsible for shaping and delivering a fun, engaging, and consistent content ecosystem that grows Ranger Buddies’ fan base, strengthens brand affinity with families and children, and supports key go-to-market campaigns and marquee events. The role will own always-on social media strategy, campaign-led content execution, and emerging formats including AI-generated video content.
The ideal candidate brings strong storytelling instincts, deep social media expertise, and a passion for building fandom around children-focused IP. This role sits at the intersection of brand, content, and growth, working closely with marketing, design, agency, AI, and operations teams.
Job Responsibilities
Content & Social Media Strategy
Own and drive Ranger Buddies’ content and social media strategy to grow awareness, engagement, and fan base across priority platforms.
Define content pillars, tone of voice, and storytelling approaches that make Ranger Buddies fun, relatable, and mission-aligned.
Ensure content supports both long-term brand building and short-term campaign and activation goals.
Continuously identify new formats, trends, and opportunities to increase relevance and engagement with target audiences.
Social Media (Always-On / BAU)
Lead the development and execution of always-on social media content to maintain consistent brand presence and drive audience growth.
Manage monthly social media content calendars across platforms.
Work closely with internal designers and integrated marketing agencies on monthly content planning, briefing, and development.
Prepare clear monthly briefs for agencies and review content prior to publication to ensure alignment with brand guidelines, messaging, and tone of voice.
Create social media content directly when required, including basic graphic design and simple photo or video shoots.
Support on-site content production at partner locations and within Mandai Wildlife Reserve as needed.
Partner & Stakeholder Activation
Support partner activations by developing and executing social and content plans that amplify key initiatives.
Translate activation briefs into engaging, brand-aligned social content.
Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and agencies to ensure timely and aligned delivery of social assets.
Provide recommendations to enhance the reach and impact of partner initiatives.
Track and report performance of partner-related content to inform optimisation.
Marketing Innovation and Experimentations (e.g. AI-Generated Video Content)
Support ideation, concept development, and scriptwriting for AI-generated video content series.
Work closely with AI Engineers to develop video content that aligns with Ranger Buddies’ brand guidelines and storytelling approach.
Coordinate internal approvals with the brand team prior to production and publishing.
Publish videos across relevant platforms and support basic ad setup and boosting where required.
Track, analyse, and report on content performance metrics to inform optimisation and future planning.
Success Metrics
Growth in social media followers, engagement, and overall fan base across priority platforms.
Consistency and quality of always-on content execution aligned with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
Performance of GTM campaigns and missions as measured by reach, engagement, and participation metrics.
Growth in owned digital audiences and contribution to first-party database expansion.
Effective delivery of content and marketing support for marquee events and sponsor obligations.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in content marketing, social media, or digital marketing roles.
Proven experience managing social media and content strategies for consumer, entertainment, lifestyle, or children-focused brands.
Experience working with agencies, designers, and cross-functional internal teams.
Hands-on experience with content creation, copywriting, and basic visual production.
Job Requirements
Strong storytelling and copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and platforms.
Deep understanding of social media platforms, content formats, and engagement mechanics.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable managing multiple workstreams including BAU content, campaigns, and event support.
Experience working with emerging content formats, including AI-generated or experimental media, is a strong advantage.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with strong project management skills.
