Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT professional to be part of our Data Center, Platforms and Systems (DSP) team. You will be responsible for ensuring the health, security and day to day operations of our Data Centers in Mandai as well as it’s enterprise systems, including server management, backups, virtualization, and directory services among others. As a senior member of the team, you will drive improvements in backup recovery, security hardening, and operational efficiency of the systems under DSP. This role requires a proactive troubleshooter who can lead technical resolutions under pressure and mentor junior staff within a collaborative, on-call environment.
Oversee and optimize IT infrastructure operations to ensure maximum performance, high availability, and scalability.
Implement and manage Windows and Ubuntu server environments, ensuring they are operational and hardened against security threats and consistently patched.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure services, ensuring secure configurations and seamless hybrid-cloud integration.
Manage Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) utilizing both AHV and VMware ESXi, ensuring virtualization environments are optimized.
Lead backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and rapid restoration capabilities.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), automate routine maintenance tasks, and perform proactive root-cause analysis on recurring issues.
Provide expert-level support for operational incidents and participate in a rotational on-call schedule for critical system issues, which will involve after office hours support when necessary.
Perform patching activities that will usually be conducted after office hours.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing Ubuntu and Microsoft server ecosystems (AD, Group Policy, WSUS).
Proven proficiency with Nutanix (HCI), VMware ESXi, and exposure to cloud services would be advantageous.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to design and implement solutions for complex technical challenges.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to document technical processes clearly and collaborate effectively across internal and external teams
Preferred Certifications:
Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or Nutanix Certified Master (NCM).
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
LPIC-1 or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
